Introducing The Royals
The Royals is a collective of Sydney musicians put together by Scotty Sax that performs at all manner of private and public events throughout Australia. With the calibre of musicians involved Scotty has been able to take it up a notch, enlisting the cream of Sydney’s musical community to form the core of the band and utilising his vast networks of contacts to front the band with the best singers in Australia.
In August 2016 a shoot was organised to showcase the talent and versatility of the Royals. See the results below.
The band is made up of, Haydn Walker on guitar, Samantha Walton on keys, Tim Curnick on bass, Dave Hibbard on drums and of course Scotty Sax on Sax and Bongo’s.
Vocalist – Rob Edwards, Adam Katz, Wilson Olegasegarem, Cheyenne Kavanagh, Michelle Martinez, Laura Stitt, India-Rose Madderom, Amy Chase.
The idea behind the video was to showcase how the band can seamlessly drift in between styles and genres using any one of a number of amazing vocalists. Scotty wanted to highlight how the vocalists are of of a very similar level in terms of stage presence, vocal ability and experience. If the vocalists aren’t of a certain standard they won’t even be considered to perform with the Royals. That makes it easy for the client. There is literally nothing to worry about, as Scotty will take the brief and choose the appropriate vocalist.
This isn’t a generic band that is thrown together on the night like some other bands getting around the major capital cities. This is a Sydney band that features a tight core group of players and has a repertoire for any occasion, be it Rock, Blues, Dance, Chill-out, Soul, Pop, RnB, Funk and even a bit of Reggae.
The band can be a 5 piece up to a 10 piece.
Experience is everything when it comes to providing music for a big event. Give your next event the Royal treatment.
