There are so many charity organisations out there and it takes special people to keep them going. I was among some very kind and passionate people who give alot of their time in the quest to help others. It’s inspiring to be around people like this. I was feeling run down with the flu but I’m glad I made the effort to be there.
Created and run by a team of volunteers, Freedom for Humanity uses events to raise much-needed funding for organisations working to end human trafficking, rescue its victims and support the healing of its survivors.
In 2017, Freedom for Humanity are focused on supporting The A21 Campaign, a not-for-profit non-government organisation working to fight human trafficking, including sexual exploitation and forced labour.
Adam from the Frisco Hotel hosted the evening and the event was organised by Anna Ruth. Anna set the event up in conjunction with A21. They raised and impressive $12000 which included an auction bottle of VDKA 6100 signed by Robert DeNiro.
A21 are the abolitionists of the 21st century; a not-for-profit organisation, birthed in Australia, that now rescues human beings from bondage in eleven countries.
They work to disrupt the industry demand and free slaves.
The heart ofA21 is about the one. The one woman, the one man, the one child trapped and exploited, unable to see another end to their story. They see the one, fight for the one, and sacrifice to restore the one… to give them freedom and independence and the chance at a better story.
Massive thanks to Eden Connell for these great pics. Check his work out at Zoom in with Eden. The dance floor really fired up for over 2 hours which was surprising for a Wednesday night. Who said Sydney’s night life is dead?
