It’s a rare and beautiful thing to be asked to perform for someone on the most important day of their life. To then be showered in compliments at the completion of the event, is a reward unlike any other. Scotty Sax and Craig Morrison got to experience this last weekend at an amazing wedding on the outskirts of Sydney.
Whilst the location was in Richmond, you could have been forgiven for thinking you had travelled past the Blue Mountains to be situated in such an idyllic and picturesque country retreat. This Sydney wedding captured the relaxed country feel an hours drive away from the CBD.
The success of the night was certainly a sum of its parts. The crowd was up for it.
The venue was stunning, as you can see in the pictures below and the music capped it off. The client specifically requested that the music choice was up to Scotty, however, there was one rule – no top 40. That’s not to say there is anything wrong with top 40. . This allowed the duo to lay down some party classics that are perfect for Sax, Congas and Bongo’s.
Sax and Congas with the DJ is now a tried and tested recipe for success. Both instruments sit on top of the mix and as long as it’s not overdone, they enhance tracks with a live element that always gets the crowd going.
Congratulations to the newlyweds. No names have been mentioned for privacy.
Anyone wishing for a country style wedding should consider the Richmond Polo Club and if you need good music, then look no further than Scotty and Craig.
